Mohan Raja Subrahmanyam | Upādhyāya

Asanapuram Mohanraja Subrahmanyam, also known as AM Raja, was born and raised in a spiritually inclined family in Tirupati, a renowned location dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. Despite completing his engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and working in the software industry, his inner quest for understanding the root of karma and the suffering of others led him to explore the realm of vedanga, specifically astrology. His initial teacher in this journey was his own mother, who instilled in him the desire to help people.
Over time, Raja delved deeper into the field of astrology, obtaining a master’s degree in Jyotiṣa. Additionally, he pursued studies in psychology and yoga, further enriching his understanding of the human mind and spiritual well-being. Raja furthered his astrological knowledge by learning traditional astrology rooted in the Sri Achyutananda tradition from Sri Jagannath Puri. Under the guidance of Sri Pandit Sanjay Rath, he delved into the teachings of this ancient tradition. Notable teachers from the same lineage, including Sri Visiti Larsen and Srimati Lakshmi Ramesh ji, who are also students of Sri Pandit Sanjay Rath, played a crucial role in his astrological journey. Mohanraja’s commitment to expanding his expertise is evident in his completion of degree courses on Parāśara Jyotiṣh and Jaimini Sutras.
Raja augmented his knowledge by studying Mantra Śāstras under the guidance of Pandit Sanjay Rath. This aspect of his learning further enriched his understanding of the spiritual and ritualistic dimensions associated with astrology. This comprehensive education equipped him with a deep understanding of these traditional astrological books given by ancient Rishis.
Raja has developed a unique approach to traditional astrology, drawing people to the profound insights he provides. He continues to offer his services to individuals around the world, providing consultations and teaching astrology. Additionally, Mohanraja serves as an Upadhyaya for courses conducted by Devaguru Bṛhaspati Center (DBC), including programs focused on Parāśara Jyotiṣh and Jaimini scholar.
Currently residing near the Padmavati Ammavari temple in Tirupati, he remains dedicated to serving and guiding people on their life journeys
